Comparison Period: The following insights are based on comparing the four-week retail month of July this year (30 June – 27 July 2025) to the same period last year (1 July – 28 July 2024).
Foot Traffic Trends:
- Passer-by traffic was down 0.5% YoY in July, following the strong growth in May (+6.6%) and June (+5.1%).
- Inside traffic was up 1.0% YoY in July, a more subdued result compared with 8% growth in June and 5% growth in May.
Sales Conversion Performance:
- Sales conversion was down 1.3% YoY in July, a significant improvement on the –5% in June and –4%
in May. - Transactions were down 0.4% YoY, compared with +2.5% in June.
Average Transaction Values (ATVs):
- Average Transaction Values (ATVs) were up 2.3% YoY in July, slightly ahead of the +2.0% average over the last three months.
Sales Performance:
- Sales were up 1.9% YoY in July but remained below the +3.5% growth recorded in June.
