Nationally sales last week were down:
-2.19% on same week 2020
-6.69% on same week 2019
The major factor was both NSW and QLD were down on both these comparative years.
VIC had a very strong 2019 so sales were down comparatively but up on last year by over 6%
We have made assumptions that traffic has been affected and will continue to be affected by:
- Customer not making shopping trips to avoid COVID-19 infection risk prior to festive functions and holidays
- The amount of time required to wait for COVID-19 tests 3 – 8 hours is taking away from their shopping time
